The family of late gospel singer Toluwanisings has reportedly reached an agreement with his widow, Damilola Olayemi, on where he will be buried.
Titiansloaded reports that Lanre Alewilese, a close friend and fellow musician of the deceased, disclosed the development in an Instagram video on Sunday, saying the disagreement between Olayemi and her father-in-law had been resolved.
The controversy began after the singer’s relatives alleged in an online interview that his wife was opposed to a burial at their residence in Ibadan, Oyo State. Reports said she had favored a cemetery burial instead.

Toluwanisings’ father was said to have maintained that his son should be laid to rest at the family home or beside his late mother in their hometown.
The conflicting positions triggered widespread reactions online, with some social media users criticism the widow and others raising questions about the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.
Alewilese, however, described the disagreement as a misunderstanding and confirmed that both parties had agreed to bury the singer at his home.

He appealed to Nigerians to refrain from attacking Olayemi, stressing that she was facing a difficult period following her husband’s death.
The musician also defended the widow’s character, saying she had been kind and supportive to Toluwanisings’ band members.
Alewilese urged the public to allow the family to grieve peacefully, adding that resolving the burial arrangements should bring an end to the controversy.
