Nigerian entertainer Charly Boy has urged politicians seeking office in 2027 to take voters’ concerns seriously, saying the outcome of the United States midterm elections highlights the power of the electorate to influence political leaderships
Titiansloaded reports that the veteran entertainer shared his views in a post on Instagram, where he drew a comparison between the US election outcome and Nigeria’s preparations for the next general elections.
According to him, the American polls showed that political influence, party structures and powerful alliances could not prevent voters from expressing dissatisfaction through their ballots.

Charly Boy said Nigerian politicians were already making plans, forming alliances and preparing campaign promises ahead of 2027, but insisted that citizens should demand answers before deciding whom to support.
He encouraged voters to question candidates about the promises they made in previous elections and whether those commitments had improved people’s lives.
The entertainer also urged Nigerians to demand explanations about employment, security, affordable living conditions and access to opportunities, while insisting that elected officials should be held accountable when they fail.

He wrote that the US election had reminded politicians that votes were not permanent gifts, adding that Nigerians should recognise the power of their own ballots.
Charly Boy said the key issue ahead of 2027 should not be which politician wants to occupy public office, but who understands the responsibility that comes with the people’s trust.
He further maintained that democracy required active participation from citizens, rather than simply waiting for politicians to distribute campaign gifts.
The entertainer, popularly known as Area Fada, concluded that Nigerians must use their votes to demand responsible leadership as the country approaches the 2027 general elections.
