Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s passport was reportedly seized by security officials at the airport earlier today as she prepared to travel out of the country.
According to reports, the Kogi Central lawmaker was stopped during a routine security check, where officials informed her that there was an order to withhold her travel documents pending “further clarification.” The exact reason for the order remains unclear.

In a live video shared on her social media handle, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan expressed frustration over the incident, revealing that this was not the first time her passport had been confiscated.
“This is the second time this is happening to me. The last time, I had to call some top personalities before they released my passport,” she said. “If this can happen to a senator, what then is the hope for a common Nigerian?”
Describing the act as “politically motivated harassment,” the senator questioned the motives behind the repeated actions, suggesting that it was an attempt to intimidate her for her political stance.

Efforts by Titansloaded News to reach her media aide for an official comment were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report. Airport authorities and relevant security agencies have also not issued any statements explaining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Meanwhile, supporters of the senator have taken to social media to condemn the development, tagging it as a “deliberate act of intimidation” against one of Kogi’s most vocal and influential female politicians. Many are calling for transparency and accountability from the agencies involved.
Titansloaded News will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more details emerge.
