The Oyo State Police Command has secured a peace agreement among the family members and associates of late singer Olayemi Bayonle Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, following disagreements over his burial arrangements.
Titiansloaded that the agreement was reached on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, after the parties were summoned to the Police Command Headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan, to resolve the dispute and prevent further tension.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, the Command received a report about the disagreement on October 28, alongside allegations of conspiracy, defamation and conduct capable of causing a breach of peace.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, subsequently directed the parties to appear before the Command for an intervention under Section 4 of the Police Act.
Those involved included the singer’s wife, Mrs Olayemi Elizabeth Damilola; his father, Mr Muniru Olayemi; friends and associates, including Oyindamola Esther, Babadunni Gbolabo and Comrade Lawal Ademola Rafiu, as well as his personal assistant and other representatives.
At the end of the meeting, the parties signed an undertaking to maintain peace and avoid actions that could worsen the disagreement.

The undertaking further prohibits the parties from circulating allegations, narratives or publications about the dispute through social media, blogs, print media, radio or other platforms. The restriction also applies to their agents, associates and other proxies.
The parties agreed not to grant or facilitate interviews aimed at spreading such narratives and pledged to prevent others acting on their behalf from sponsoring or amplifying inflammatory content.
The Commissioner of Police warned that the agreement must be respected by all parties and those associated with them.

He cautioned against exploiting the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death to provoke hostility or spread unverified allegations, adding that anyone whose conduct amounts to a criminal offence would be arrested and prosecuted.
