President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has reacted to ex-President Joe Biden being diagnosed with prostate cancer. Recall that Biden’s personal office recently announced that he has been diagnosed with the most common form of cancer among men.
Reacting via a statement on his Truth Social platform, Trump expressed sadness over Biden’s medical diagnosis, confirming that he and his wife are saddened about the news.
Trump revealed that he wishes Joe a speedy and successful recovery from the disease, and also wishes his family a lot of strength during this trying time.
“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery,” he wrote.
Hours ago, Biden’s personal office, in a statement obtained by Wall Street Journal reporter Ken Thomas, announced that Joe received the diagnosis after visiting a doctor last week.
According to the representative, Biden headed for the hospital after battling increasing urinary symptoms, and he was eventually diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterised by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.
The rep confirmed that even though the report signified a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, therefore, it can be effectively managed.
“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms.
On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.
While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management. The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians,” it read.
