The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has issued a strong call to Nigerian troops to remain fully alert and united in tackling the escalating wave of bandit attacks and security threats across the country.
Titansloaded reports that the minister delivered the message during the decoration ceremony of newly promoted senior officers at the Army Officers’ Mess in Abuja, where he emphasized the need for continuous vigilance, joint operations and renewed national resolve.
Musa urged security agencies to strengthen intelligence sharing, deepen inter-service cooperation and maintain a unified front, stressing that Nigeria’s security challenges require collective action backed by courage and discipline.

He reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to enhancing military capability through improved resources, better operational tools and sustained welfare support under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Addressing the troops, the minister declared that the nation expects results and security agencies must act with urgency, saying:
“These challenges are Nigerian challenges, and we must confront them together. Jointness is non-negotiable. Nigerians are watching, and time is of the essence.”
The renewed charge comes as the armed forces intensify operations across states battling banditry, terrorism and violent crimes.
