African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has accused suspected political thugs of attacking him and members of his team in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, shortly after a radio interview on Friday.
Titiansloaded reports that Sowore alleged that the assailants came from the Ekiti State Government House and received logistical and tracking assistance from operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
In posts on his X account, the activist shared photographs and videos showing the aftermath of the incident. He also claimed that DSS operatives had monitored and harassed his team since they arrived in the state on Thursday.

According to Sowore, the alleged harassment extended to a restaurant where his team had earlier eaten, claiming that security operatives threatened the manager against allowing them to use the premises again.
He said the attack occurred shortly after he finished an interview at MIDAS FM 90.5 in Ado-Ekiti.
Sowore described the incident as a coordinated assault and accused the DSS of supporting those responsible.
The AAC candidate also disclosed that Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Falade Adegoroye Michael, visited the scene after the incident.

However, he criticised the police commissioner for reportedly describing the incident as an “altercation”, arguing that the injuries sustained by members of his team showed that it was a violent attack.
Sowore maintained that the incident should not be downplayed and called attention to what he described as the involvement of security operatives in the alleged assault.
The allegations against the Ekiti State Government and the DSS had not been independently established in the account provided.
