A Nigerian TV presenter has reacted to the trending incident involving Pastor Paul Adefarasin and a young content creator. In a viral clip shared by a Lagos-based content creator, Adefarasin was seen inside his Range Rover, which slowed down near the person filming. As the car window rolled down, the content creator greeted the pastor; however, Adefarasin responded with a harsh tone while holding an object that many viewers initially mistook for a firearm.
Pastor Paul Adefarasin has since clarified that he never pointed a firearm at anyone, stressing that the viral falsehood is further proof that the church is not wrestling against flesh and blood, but against spiritual powers and demonic hosts.
According to him, the accusation that he held a firearm and pointed it at a content creator is false, and he does not even own a pistol license for a firearm.
“This is not merely an attack on a local church or a pastor. It is an organised strategy of the one that we war with. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against spiritual powers and princes, spiritual wickedness in heavenly places, spiritual wickedness in high places, and a range of about thirteen cadet of demonic hosts.
So, the enticement of the enemy is always the love of money at the root of all evil.
What we have had to witness was clickbaiters just looking for more money. I probably wasn’t even their target, their target was to make more money.
I was falsely accused of bearing a firearm, pointing a firearm at an aggressive content creator who came withing personal distance. The only thing separating me and him was about maybe three quarters of a meter and glass.
I do not have a pistol license for a firearm, I do not carry a firearm, and I pointed no firearm at anybody,” he said.

Reacting, the TV presenter blasted the clergyman’s behaviour, suggesting that he might be struggling with anger management.
She condemned the act of brandishing what was later revealed to be a taser, especially when the content creator posed no visible threat and was only holding a camera.
She concluded by urging the pastor to handle such situations better in the future.
