Popular British Nigerian Disc Jockey, Rotimi Alakija, a.k.a. DJ Xclusive, has blasted Nigerian police officers. He recently criticized the regular “stop and search” practice carried out by Nigerian policemen.
Taking to the Instagram page, Xclusive claimed that some officers of the Nigerian Police Force only stop to search individuals with expensive cars.
According to him, the trend is so predictable and disturbing that it makes it easier for criminals to get away with crime because they only need to operate in old-looking cars.
“Nigerian police only stop flashy cars for stop and search… Making it easy for thieves to rob, because all they gotta do is use cars that ain’t that flashy,” he wrote.
His observation quickly sparked reactions from Nigerians who lamented over the bias and unprofessional practices among some police officers.

Recall that Nollywood actress Sonia Ogala recently blasted the FCT police over the statement it issued regarding the detention of Samuel Ojeogwu, Regina Daniel’s elder brother.
The police had revealed that Sammy has been granted bail, but he is being held until he perfects his bail conditions.
Reacting via her Instagram page, Sonia Ogala, who has been fighting for Rita Daniels, the mother of Regina and Sammy, slammed the police statement.
According to her, the police are not being truthful with their latest report regarding Sammy’s detention because he was never granted bail.
She stated that Sammy was taken very early to a secluded Magistrate court in Dutse, and when his case was called, Sammy had no lawyer present and was given a court lawyer.
The moviestar concluded by saying that by the time they got to the court, Sammy had been moved again, and the magistrate had “disappeared” and “locked the charges.”
