Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger has reacted to the ongoing national debate over immigration. He recently emphasised the importance of legal entry and respectful behaviour from newcomers to the United States.
Speaking during an interview, Schwarzenegger said that his personal story exemplifies the possibilities available in America for those who abide by the rules.
The moviestar revealed that he came into the country illegally with no funds or friends, but America eventually gave him a lot of opportunities to fulfil his dream.
According to him, if more immigrants can realize that they are guests in someone else’s home, while working super hard to achieve their goals, success is inevitable.
“I came here legally. I had no money, no friends, no safety net but I had a dream. This country gave me everything, and I worked hard for it. That’s the beauty of America.
If you come here legally and act like a guest in someone’s home, you can succeed,” he said.

He further noted that every immigrant can achieve the American Dream as long as they respect the nation’s laws.
The 2-term governor concluded by saying that any immigrant engaging in illegal activities in a foreign country is not wise.
“Foreigners doing illegal things, they are not smart. It’s not about being against immigrants, it’s about respecting the rules,” he added.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s comments come amid rampant immigration raids, public protests, and heated policy debates dominating headlines across America.
