The Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has come out to admit that he truly owns a Rolls-Royce car. This is coming after Rotimi Amaechi claimed that he bought the costly automobile via corrupt means.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme, Wike revealed that he indeed owns a Rolls-Royce because he is from a rich background.
According to him, he bought the expensive automobile with his own hard-earned money, and nobody handed him the luxury vehicle or gave him the funds to purchase it.
Wike stated that despite having a moderately rich father, he still struggled to acquire assets on his own like every young man should.
He concluded by saying that, unlike Rotimi Amaechi, who is from a poor background, some politicians actually know what wealth felt like before joining politics.
“I have a Rolls-Royce; nobody gave it to me; I bought it for myself. I didn’t come from the same background as Rotimi Amaechi. As a student, I was using a Mercedes-Benz. My father was the manager of so many companies. I come from a rich background but not too rich like the Dangotes,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nyesom Wike recently called out the Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Umar Damagum, for ordering the National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, to resume duty at the party’s national secretariat.
He recently said that Umar Damagum does not have the authority to issue such an order.
“I watched on national television and heard the acting national chairman directing the national secretary to resume. The national secretary is not your appointee.
He has been doing his work and will continue to do so. You can’t ask him to resume because of the illegalities you’re perpetrating,” he added.
