Nollywood filmmaker and actress Omoni Oboli has opened up about her 24-year marriage to husband Nnamdi Oboli. She recently revealed that divorce was never an option for them from the beginning, and fans have been reacting.
Speaking during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Omoni declared that she and her husband had already decided to stay married through thick and thin even before they tied the knot.
According to her, couples need to realize that there is almost nothing their partners can do to them that will be unforgivable, as long as they realize that we are all sinners.
“Staying married for over two decades… First things first, you have to decide. It’s a decision. From day one, we decided that divorce was not an option—even before we got married.
There’s almost nothing someone can do that you can’t forgive, if you want to forgive. We all have to realise that we’re all sinners,” she said.

Revealing that her husband proposed two weeks after they met, Omoni stated that while their first year was very chaotic, the love he showed her at the time made it impossible to reject his proposal.
The moviestar concluded by saying that their shared decision to never consider divorce helped them navigate the turbulent early days of marriage.
“I was young. Till today, I don’t know how I agreed to marry him so quickly. But I know I fell in love with the way my husband loved me,” she added.
