Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has explained that personal growth influenced her decision to embrace colours beyond the pink look that became her trademark.
Titiansloaded reports that the entertainer, who was recognised for her pink hair, outfits and accessories, said she no longer wants her identity to be restricted to a single colour.
Cuppy made the disclosure during an interview with GQ Poland, where she reflected on the role pink played in shaping her public image and expressing her personality over the years.

She explained that her decision to experiment with other colours does not mean she has abandoned the principles associated with her former style.
According to the DJ, pink represented confidence, energy, self-expression and the freedom to stand out, qualities she still considers important to her identity.
“I was known for the colour pink, and it was my identity for so many years, and a lot of people are asking what happened to the pink,” she said.
Cuppy added that people should understand that personal development naturally brings changes, noting that she does not want to be confined to one colour.

She also reflected on how her fashion choices helped her establish herself as a woman working in the male-dominated music industry.
The entertainer recalled that when she began her career about 17 years ago, pink became a way of celebrating her femininity while making her presence felt in the industry.
However, after years of building her career and overcoming professional barriers, she said she now feels confident expressing the same femininity through different colours.
“Now that I’ve been through a lot of doors and kicked down some windows, I feel like I can represent my femininity through any colour,” she stated.
