US President Donald Trump has assured Chinese international students in the country that they would be fine amid his government’s crackdown on academia. Recall that Trump’s administration recently said that it would mainly target permissions for Chinese students, in its latest broadside against US higher education.
Asked what he has to say to Chinese college students in the U.S, Trump revealed that the Chinese students will be fine in the end because everything will turn out okay.
Donald declared that he just needs to know the individual students America has, something that is normal with all colleges across the world.
“They’re going to be ok. It’s going to work out fine.
We just want to check out the individual students we have. And that’s true with all colleges,” he said.
His soft tone comes after a judge on Thursday extended a temporary block on Trump’s bid to prevent Harvard from enrolling international students.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has since pledged to aggressively revoke visas to students from China.
Rubio has already revoked a lot of visas, mainly over students’ involvement in activism critical of Israel’s offensive in Gaza, but also over minor traffic violations.

The Trump government is currently in a showdown with academia, Harvard to be precise, ordering the financial institution to provide a list of students that the government is interested in, something the school is completely against.
According to him, he has no idea why the university is refusing to give up the list, and he believes something fishy must be going on for the university to be protecting such information.
He maintained that Harvard University is most likely hiding the list because there are bad names they will do everything to protect.
“I don’t know why Harvard’s not giving us the list. There’s something going on because Harvard is not giving us a list.
They ought to give us a list and get themselves out of trouble.
They don’t want to give the list because they have names on there that supposedly are quite bad,” he said.
At graduation ceremonies this week, Harvard University president Alan Garber received a 1-minute standing ovation when he urged universities to remain firm amid the war the Trump government has waged against students and schools.
Trump insisted that America needs people who can love the nation and take care of its affairs without bias or fear.
“We want people that can love our country and take care of our country and cherish our country,” Trump added.
