Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha has renewed his claims of innocence over the child sexual abuse case that led to his imprisonment, alleging that he was deliberately set up.
Titiansloaded reports that the actor made the claims during an interview with Agbaletu, where he rejected the description of him as a paedophile and maintained that some people conspired to implicate him.
He also disputed details surrounding the incident, insisting that he had never been to the residence where footage of the alleged abuse was recorded.

“I am not a paedophile, I don’t even know what it means until I was in prison. The house where I was caught on camera, I have never been there before,” he said.
Baba Ijesha further reacted to the allegation that he used a key to defile a seven-year-old girl. He questioned the claim, arguing that he would not commit such an act because he also has a daughter.
“They said I used a key to deflower a 7-year-old. I told them I also have a girl child; when is time they should do likewise to her if I truly did it. I laid that curse,” he added.

His latest comments represent another public denial of the allegations that formed the basis of the case against him. However, his statements during the interview remain his personal account of the matter.
