Suspected bandits have abducted a traditional ruler in Ondo State after launching a deadly attack on his residence and shooting his wife.
Titansloaded reports that the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday when armed men stormed the palace of the monarch, identified as Oba James Adelana, and whisked him away to an unknown destination.
The attack has sparked fresh concerns over the growing insecurity in parts of Ondo State, where cases of kidnapping and violent attacks have continued to pose serious challenges to residents and local authorities.
According to sources within the community, the assailants invaded the palace under the cover of darkness and began shooting sporadically to create fear and prevent resistance from residents.
