President Bola Tinubu has called on young Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and take part in the 2027 general elections, describing the poll as a decisive moment for their future.
Titiansloaded reports that the President made the appeal on Saturday while addressing supporters at the Rainbow Coalition presidential campaign rally held at Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Tinubu told the youths that the election should be seen as an opportunity to shape the country’s leadership rather than a contest centred on his personal political ambition.
“This election is about you. It’s not about me. Your future depends on this election,” he said.

He urged eligible voters who were yet to collect their PVCs to visit the appropriate centres, describing the voter card as an important tool for influencing the nation’s direction.
“It is left for you to use the weapon you have. And that weapon is the PVC. If you have not collected yours, please go ahead and collect it,” the President appealed.
Tinubu also pointed to economic growth as a means of tackling poverty, insisting that his administration was working to improve living conditions and ensure that more Nigerians benefit from national prosperity.
He said the government was settling outstanding pension and gratuity obligations inherited from previous administrations, adding that the payments were helping retired workers and their families.
According to him, retired engineers, welders and teachers were among those currently receiving their entitlements.
The President maintained that clearing the outstanding payments was part of his administration’s effort to distribute prosperity more widely.

He also expressed appreciation to residents of Rivers State for their support and engagement during the rally.
The event was organised by the Rainbow Coalition, a political alliance led by Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
The group brings together politicians and supporters from different parties, including the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party.
It had previously endorsed Tinubu for a second term and presented its preferred candidates for elective offices in Rivers State.
Tinubu’s appearance in Port Harcourt forms part of his political engagements ahead of the 2027 elections. He had earlier launched his re-election campaign in Kaduna State on October 24.
