Lagos, Nigeria — Springfield Private School/Bosede Idehen International Academy (SPS/BIIA) proudly celebrates its 50th Anniversary, marking five decades of impactful education and community service.
Founded in 1975 by the late Mrs. Bosede Idehen, a visionary educationist and one of the pioneering female educators in Lagos State, the institution began its journey in Ikeja before relocating to its permanent site at 3, Ekoro Road, Abule Egba, Lagos.
The late Mrs. Bosede Idehen devoted her life to shaping young minds and contributing to educational development across her community and beyond. Her legacy continues to thrive through the school’s enduring commitment to excellence and innovation.
Today, SPS/BIIA operates on a blended American and Nigerian curriculum, providing a dynamic learning experience that equips students for both local and international opportunities. Under the leadership of the current Director, Mrs. Idehen Ovabor, a distinguished pharmacist and educator, the school continues to embrace modern educational methods while upholding the founder’s legacy of discipline, excellence, and integrity.

The 50th Anniversary Celebration will feature a week-long lineup of events:

Wednesday, 8th October 2025: Global Alumni Reunion
Thursday, 9th October 2025: Community Service Day
Friday, 10th October 2025: Health Awareness Day
Saturday, 11th October 2025: Grand Finale and Anniversary Celebration (Access Card and Ankara required for entry)
The grand event will highlight the school’s achievements, its contribution to Nigeria’s educational landscape, and its future-focused innovations.
