The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation has announced the postponement of its highly anticipated 2-day interactive session originally scheduled for May 20 and 21, 2025, in Kaduna. The gathering, aimed at reviewing President Tinubu’s government ahead of the 2027 general elections, is now set to hold on June 24 and 25, 2025.
The foundation recently announced that the session was designed to summarise the progress made on the government’s electoral promises, improve government-citizen engagement, and aid transparency and accountability across public offices.
Speaking via a press statement, the foundation’s Director-General, Abubakar Umar, said that the session would help bridge the gap between policy implementation and public perception, correct misinformation, and tackle misconceptions about the Tinubu government’s initiatives.
According to Abubakar, the session would examine the government’s performance across several sectors, including efforts to boost national security and stability. He insisted that it would also review policies aimed at fostering economic growth, transparency, and effective governance.

“This landmark event builds on the foundation’s successful engagement on October 17, 2022, where frontline presidential candidates, including then-candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, presented their manifestos and made commitments toward the development of Northern Nigeria,” he said.
However, another statement from the Director-General’s office has since cited the ongoing Hajj operations across the region as the reason for the rescheduling.
“The programme has been shifted to June 24 and 25, 2025, due to Hajj. We have already commenced issuing invitation letters for the new date,” the foundation said via its WhatsApp platform.
