The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has vowed to transform the ruling party into a source of national pride and celebration. He recently revealed that more Governors and Senators would be drawn to the APC under his leadership.
Speaking during his official assumption of office at the APC national secretariat, Yilwatda declared that the 2027 general election is a done deal for the APC.
According to him, every APC member who is a part of the National Working Committee at APC is a mechanic, while the party is a vehicle that needs thorough fixing.
Yilwatda stated that he and his fellow committee members will do everything possible to ensure the vehicle works properly until it reaches its destination of choice.
“All of us here, especially the National Working Committee, we are the mechanics, the party is a vehicle, we will fix it. We will drive it, we will work it out and ensure that we get the destination of our choice.
It’s our collective effort, and I’m sure by the time we put our hands on the deck collectively, this party will be great, this party will be the joy and the pride and the brightness of the entire nation, and that’s what I look forward to this party becoming under our collective leadership,” he said.

Appreciating Nigerians for supporting the APC, the national chairman reiterated that the party’s doors will stay open to more new members.
He maintained that he is looking forward to more national assembly members and local government chairmen
Yilwatda concluded by saying that APC will expand beyond its bounds during his time as chairman.
“I appreciate Nigerians supporting APC, standing by APC, our doors are open to welcome new members. Our doors are open, we look forward to having more governors, more senators, more National Assembly members, more local government chairmen and more members in our party.
We will expand beyond bounds. I’m sure by God’s grace, I’m sure the 2027 is a done deal for APC.”
