Former Governor of Nasarawa State, Tanko Al-Makura, has said that he is prepared to serve President Bola Tinubu’s government in any capacity. He recently revealed that as long as his duty is for the good of Nigeria, he will not say no to BAT.
Speaking during an interview with Trust TV, Tanko declared that he would accept the position of national chairman of APC if Tinubu trusts him enough to handle the responsibilities that come with such a position.
According to him, he is such an incurable and committed member of the APC; therefore, he would not refuse Nigeria’s President if he deems him fit to lead the party.
Tanko stated that he is ready to do whatever is required of him to guarantee the progress of Nigeria and his political party.
He concluded by saying that he is a very committed politician when it comes to staying loyal to his leaders.

“If Mr President, as the leader of this country, tells me that ‘Al-Makura, I want you to come to my office and dust my table every Monday, that is what pleases me, that is what I feel will make the party and this country progress.
I can assure you that I will make it a date that every Monday, at that appointed time, I will come, dust the table, and go.
I will be satisfied that I have done what the President wants. That is the level of my commitment and loyalty to a leader,” he said.
Al-Makura’s statement is coming amid the speculation over his potential emergence as the next substantive national chairman of the APC following the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje, who stepped down from the position in June.
