Nollywood actress, Opeyemi Aiyeola, has reacted to reports surrounding fellow actor Ibrahim Chatta’s bereavement. She recently clarified that Ibrahim Chatta lost his godson, not his biological child.
In an Instagram post she shared online, Opeyemi revealed that while the deceased was also like a son to Chatta, he is not his biological father.
Praying for the boy’s soul to rest in perfect peace, the movie star reiterated that it has been an emotional rollercoaster for the entire Nollywood industry in recent times.
“Ibrahim Chatta didn’t lose his biological son but a godson who is also like a son to him.
May his pure soul continue to rest peacefully… It’s been an extremely emotional ride so far. God have mercy,” she wrote.

She further offered prayers for strength and comfort for the bereaved family, urging compassion during the difficult period.
Meanwhile, Chatta himself is yet to provide further details about the shocking loss.
