Nollywood actress Angela Eguavoen has expressed concern over the unhealthy attitude of some female colleagues in the industry. She recently shared that Nigerian actresses enjoy pulling each other down out of hatred.
Reacting via her Instagram page, Angela narrated a disturbing incident where a colleague urged a producer to stop giving movie roles to another actress, simply because she irritated her.
Lamenting online, the movie star disclosed that some women in the industry now derive pleasure in pulling others down rather than rising by lifting someone else.
According to her, she cannot overemphasise the importance of unity and kindness in Nollywood, and she wonders when love and support would finally prevail over hatred and envy.

She then praised men in the Nollywood to industry for often supporting and respecting each other while maintaining composure and consistent professionalism.
Commending amazing women in Nollywood who have been role models for young actresses, the Edo actress encouraged her colleagues to reflect on the impact of their actions and always consider the bigger picture.
