The All Progressives Congress has rubbished the latest accusations made by former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung. Recall that Solomon recently alleged that a powerful cabal has taken over President Bola Tinubu’s government.
Reacting while speaking to the press, the National Secretary of the APC, Ajibola Basiru, called out Dalung’s failed performance as a former minister.
According to him, he can only question the logic behind the cabal allegation because democratic structures like the National Assembly are actively functioning in the country.
Ajibola said that Dalung clearly lacks the required intellectual depth to engage in matters of governance, so it’s best for him to say nothing concerning Tinubu’s government henceforth.
He maintained that the former minister’s accusation is not just lazy and uncalled for, but also devoid of any substance or truth.
“Who is Dalung? What was his scorecard when he served as a minister? He clearly lacks the intellectual depth to engage in matters of governance.
What cabal is he talking about when the National Assembly is there? His analysis is not only lazy but also devoid of substance. It’s hard to dignify such ignorance with a serious response,” he said.

He further accused critics like Dalung of being unable to stomach losing the elections in 2023, claiming that the losers have all decided to resort to unfounded claims to discredit the government.
He concluded by saying that no matter what the current administration does, these critics will always be blind to any progress.
“People like him are still traumatised by the outcome of the last election. No matter what the administration does, they remain blind to the progress being made. They are determined to see nothing work, even when the evidence is clear.
As Mr President has made clear, we will not be distracted by armchair critics. Those who are dissatisfied should meet us at the ballot box,” he added.
