A former Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo, has said that Gombe State will remain a PDP party. He recently reaffirmed the party’s resilience and relevance ahead of future elections, and Nigerians have been reacting.

Speaking during an extended PDP stakeholders’ meeting held in Gombe, he declared that the state is a vital part of PDP’s national fabric.

According to him, the amazing unity shown by members in both the National and State Assemblies is proof of the party’s renewed resilience and unbreakable bond.

“I am convinced beyond any doubt that Gombe State is and remains the PDP’s stronghold—an integral part of our national fabric. The remarkable solidarity displayed by leadership at all levels, and our members in both the National and State Assemblies, is unprecedented and a testament to our resilience and unbreakable bond,” he said.

Ibrahim further noted that the stakeholders’ meeting is aimed at deepening party unity and reviving grassroots support.

He concluded by urging former members to return and contribute to the PDP’s revival, asking them to look beyond past disputes.

“It is a clarion call for loyalty, unity, and the reaffirmation of the core values that define our great party.

To those who may have felt disillusioned or hesitant due to minor challenges, we say: come back home. Your voices and commitment are vital as we rebuild the foundation of our party.

We appeal to the good people of Gombe to once again entrust PDP with the responsibility of leadership. We promise to govern with professionalism, fear of God, and integrity—just as we did in the past.

The time for positive change is now. Let us unite, let us rebuild, and let us propel Nigeria toward a future filled with promise and progress. Insha Allah, PDP is ready to lead that charge,” he said.
