Popular Nigerian artist Skales has debunked a viral claim alleging that he divorced his wife because she mocked his music. He recently shared that the tweet was made up on X, and he never made any posts like that.
The fake tweet that went viral by @VERITY_HQ read, “I divorced my wife because of a comment she made on my post and I don’t regret it… People cannot be mocking your husband’s music career… and you join.”
Reacting via his social media page, the rapper simply described the fake tweet as evil and unfair.

According to him, such a tweet never came from his verified social media accounts, and blogs are hereby warned from posting news about it to ruin his reputation.
Skales firmly denied ever uttering such a statement, let alone jumping on social media to tweet about it.
“I have never made such statement and this is false… pls stop spreading lies,” he wrote while reposting the fake quote on his social media account.
