Popular Nigerian TikToker, Peller, has said that Instagram skits are no longer profitable for content creators. He recently revealed that Mark Zuckerberg’s platform is currently unfavourable to skit-makers across the country.
Speaking during a live session with fans on TikTok, Peller revealed that he abandoned Instagram in favour of TikTok because the latter rewarded creators better and provided more monetisation options.
According to him, Nigerian content creators on Instagram have been complaining for a while now, and it has led to intense financial hardship for a lot of them.
“Hunger is killing everybody,” he said.
He maintained that TikTok remains the best option for creators because it provides better opportunities for earnings, especially via live streaming.
Peller claimed that Nigerians will keep seeing fewer funny skits on Instagram because the creators on there are currently migrating to other social media platforms that will appreciate their hard work and creativity better.
“You see any content creator for Instagram wey still dey post skit? E no dey pay. All of them don come TikTok. We are doing live video together, can you see. Hunger is killing everybody. Hunger is killing a lot of Instagram people. When last you see say person post funny Instagram skit, e get why, e no dey pay,” he added.
