The pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has refuted a report purportedly issued in its name and presented as “a mid-term assessment” of the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu. The group recently shared that it knows nothing about the report, urging Nigerians to completely disregard it.
Speaking via a press statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Jare Ajayi, NLC said that while Afenifere understands the challenges Nigerians are currently facing, it is unacceptable for anyone to issue any report in its name.
According to the Jare, the organization will keep drawing the attention of those in government to areas needing urgent action, while also offering suggestions on how to ease the pain of the people.
Ajayi stated that steps are currently being taken by the government to tackle the problems Nigerians are battling, and in no time, the required frameworks will be put in place to guarantee a bright future for every citizen.

“We also understand that steps are being taken by the government to tackle these challenges with a view not only to bringing relief to suffering Nigerians but also to putting in place frameworks that will guarantee a sound future for the country and the people.
We shall continue to offer our support and advice, through established channels, to ensure an all-round success for the benefit of the teeming masses of our people,” it read.
Expressing hope for a brighter tomorrow, Afenifere noted that the high cost of transportation and food items will soon be brought down.
The group reiterated that insecurity would become a thing of the past eventually, stressing that the government will keep doing everything possible to protect its people.
