Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has assured residents that his government will take drastic steps to end banditry in the state. He recently expressed deep sympathy over the recent tragic killings in Katsina.
Speaking during a sympathy visit to Gobirawa village in Dutsinma Local Government Area, following last week’s bandits’ attack that claimed the lives of innocent citizens, Dikko revealed that the bandits attacked the village as soon as the security personnel sent by the government left the location.
He urged community members to expose any suspected informants partnering with the bandits, reiterating the key role vigilant residents have to play to tackle insecurity.
“Government on hearing security report on the planned attack mobilised security personnel to the village. The bandits attacked the village as soon as the security personnel left,” Dikko said.
