Popular media personality, Ossai Success, has reacted to the arrest and subsequent release of outspoken social media critic, VeryDarkMan (VDM). He recently revealed that the incident should be seen as a turning point for him, rather than a victory.
Speaking via his social media page, Ossai said that the experience has to be the wake-up call VDM needs to properly reflect, evolve and rebrand.
According to him, while he is relieved to see VeryDarkMan regain his freedom, it is very important for him to reflect on his actions and improve himself.
“The arrest and release of Very Dark Man has taught him a valuable lesson. His experience has been a hard lesson, but hopefully, a transformative one. I’m relieved he’s regained freedom. It’s essential for him to reflect on his actions and consider rebranding. To his fans, this isn’t a victory but a lesson.,” he said.

He also urged the activist’s legal representative, Deji Adeyanju, to take a more proactive role in guiding his client henceforth, because that is the only way they can avoid more messy arrests in the near future.
Emphasising how the recent outcry didn’t stop VDM from remaining in prison for more days, Ossai warned him to take some time out to reassess his online presence and evaluate how he can become a better version of himself.
“Despite the outcry, he was still detained for days. Moving forward, it’s crucial to critically evaluate his actions rather than blindly supporting him. His lawyer may also need to provide guidance. Ultimately, Very Dark Man needs time to introspect and reassess his online presence. In all I am still disappointed in you guys,” he added.
