Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mary Remmy Njoku has advised the public against praying for people God is trying to punish. She recently urged her followers to be very careful when it comes to praying for others.

Speaking via her Instagram page, Mary revealed that it is very wrong to ask God to bless someone whom he is trying to punish.

According to her, it does not matter how often you intercede on behalf of others; if our Creator is hell bent on punishing those we pray for, our prayers will never be answered.

She stated that there are several hidden sins others commit that prevent all of the prayers said on their behalf from yielding positive results.

“Be careful who you pray for. Sometimes you’re trying to bless someone that God is trying to punish.
You’re fasting, interceding, and nothing is shifting.
    Before you lose sleep, pause.
There might be a reason heaven is silent.
    A hidden sin.
    A consequence.
Something you don’t know and may never know,” she wrote.

Mary Njoku further noted that not every struggle is worth fighting for, stressing that it is important for Christians to be wise with their prayers for others.

The moviestar concluded by saying that divine judgment will always overrule any form of intercession happening on earth.

    “So be wise.
    Be discerning
Not every struggle is a battle you’re meant to fight.
    Not every delay is demonic.
Sometimes, it’s divine judgment,” she added.
