Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo has come out to celebrate another major achievement as a Nigerian filmmaker. He recently expressed excitement as his “Seven Doors” movie earned a nomination at the 2025 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
The Netflix limited series was nominated in the category of “Best Soundtrack in Movie/Series/Documentary” for the score “Tori Ife” composed by Tolu Obanro.
Announcing the great news on Instagram, the moviestar posted a promotional artwork of the series alongside these words, “Woke up to fresh reasons to smile 🙏🏽

Adebayo’s joy comes months after Seven Doors clinched several wins at the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
Femi won “Best Lead Actor,” Chioma Akpotha was named “Best Lead Actress,” while Tolu Obanro also picked up the “Best Music Score” award for his musical work on the project.
The period drama, directed by Femi Adebayo alongside Tope Adebayo and Adebayo Tijani, was produced by Euphoria 360 in collaboration with Netflix.
Set in 18th and 19th-century Ilara in Ondo State, the storyline centres around Adedunjoye (played by Femi Adebayo), a humble family man who was picked unexpectedly to become king.
After his reign is troubled by an ancestral curse, he felt compelled to confront tradition when a priest declared that he must marry seven wives to save his people.
