Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has said that PDP’s recent defeats has been making the people of Edo happy. Monday, joined by his deputy, Dennis Idahosa, APC leaders, youths and market women, went on a victory motorcade around Benin City to mark the Appeal Court’s ruling in favour of the All Progressives Congress.
Okpebholo shared that God is clearly in control of the state, and He’ll keep granting victory to His people.
According to him, PDP has kept giving the people of Edo State reasons to celebrate because the APC continues to defeat everywhere.
“The PDP keeps giving us reasons to celebrate. We beat them in the governorship election, at the Tribunal, and now at the Appeal Court. We’ll beat them again at the Supreme Court,” he said.

He further praised President Bola Tinubu for his constant support for Edo, vowing that the state will back him heavily in 2027.
Accusing the PDP of using stolen money to try to influence the courts, Okpebholo praised the judges for standing for truth and justice in the end.
“Edo people will support President Tinubu again in 2027. No one can silence the voice of the people—not even the PDP,” Okpebholo said.
He concluded by saying that PDP leaders who are claiming that their mandate was stolen are jokers, and they should keep following Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi in forming a coalition that would not succeed.
“The time of PDP in Edo is over. Under my leadership, we will continue to give Edo people real development,” he added.
