Popular Afrobeats singer Wizkid has said that God blessed him with a daughter who resembles his late mother. He recently shared that his baby girl’s striking resemblance to his late mother fills his heart with so much joy.
Speaking on stage at his Hollywood Bowl show, the artist revealed that not many are lucky enough to experience such a reality, so he has a lot to be grateful for.
“He gave me a daughter who looks exactly like my mom to come fill my heart with a whole lot of love,” he said.

Meanwhile, DJ Obi recently said that Skepta’s collaboration with Wizkid and other Nigerian artists aided the promotion of Afrobeats.
The disc jockey spoke about how Skepta featuring on “Ojuelegba remix” shifted the global perception of African music.
“Skepta did a lot for Afrobeats. I don’t think we give him his flowers and respect.
When there was need for help to cross over, certain people stood up. And Skepta was one of those people.
When Skepta said, listen to this and do this, it was a no-brainer. Boom. We’re in that room now. Drake is f**king with our sht,” Obi said.
