Nollywood actress Temitope Solaja has shared the reason why she underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) and dental surgery. She recently revealed that the decision was driven by personal desire rather than industry pressure or external validation.
Speaking during an interview with Biola Bayo, Solaja said that she decided to improve her body and smile to feel more confident and to better complement her fashion style.
According to the moviestar, her main motivation was to boost her self-esteem and overall happiness, and she is more than pleased with the outcome.
“I didn’t fix my body because of any man. I love fashion. I love to dress up. I have a big stomach and a small stature. My body didn’t align with my style. That’s why I did liposuction with BBL. I did the procedure to feel better in my own skin.
When I dress, I want to look in the mirror and say, ‘Girl, you look good. I smile a lot. I wanted my smile to reflect how I feel inside. People tell me I look good — both online and in real life. And I appreciate it. I was beautiful before, but now, I feel even more confident. I also fixed my teeth three years ago in America,” she said.

On her experiences with trolls, Solaja recalled a painful moment when she was mocked online for a grammar mistake in one of her films.
She stressed that while the crew members on set should have corrected her grammatical error in the movie, the fixation of some Nigerians on her blunder was excessive.
The actress concluded by saying that Nollywood fans should always remember that English is not our language.
“I said, ‘Why did you sold me out,’ instead of ‘Why did you ‘sell’ me out’. Fellow crew should have corrected me on set but they didn’t. And the internet didn’t let it go.
It hurt because we forgive people who make mistakes in Yoruba, but drag those who mess up in English and English isn’t even our language,” she added.
