Popular activist and social commentator, Verydarkman, has taken a swipe at Pastor David Ibiyeomie. This is coming after the clergyman’s warning to bloggers and online media platforms to stop reporting on him or his church.
Reacting via his social media page, VDM said that Pastor David Ibiyeomie is only trying to use his influence to intimidate Nigerians and the media.
He dared the clergyman to arrest anyone for exercising their freedom of speech online, stressing that it is impossible to punish people for expressing themselves.
According to him, the pastor wouldn’t make such a threat in other countries with better law enforcement agencies, and he is only practising his oppression in Nigeria, where breaking the law is allowed.

He concluded by saying that these supposed men of God are also responsible for why the country has remained stagnant for many years.
“I know you travel around the world, have you seen anybody using police to lock up people? That means you are using your influence now to say that you can use the police to oppress.
You can’t try this in other countries because those police would do their investigations. You cannot command police to do anything whether you are influential or not.
That is why I say even the pastors follow spoil the country, but people don’t understand what I was saying. Nobody dey fear you. Who are you that we will fear, are you not a human being?” he wrote.
