Popular blogger Tunde Ednut has come out to react to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, threatening Peter Obi to seek his permission before visiting the state. Recall that the Governor recently said that Obi must adhere to his warning or risk being held responsible for his own safety.
Reacting, Tunde blasted the Okpebholo for depriving the Labour Party presidential candidate of his right to move freely within the country.
According to him, the Governor’s words were definitely threatening because he is scared that Peter Obi’s visit would swing lots of Edo State votes in his favour.
He stated that such reckless comments must be avoided ahead of the 2027 elections because it can easily set the nation on fire.
“Who talks like this? Is this not a threat?… All these behaviors have to stop before it totally crashes our country… They are afraid he’s gonna steal votes,” he wrote.

Davido’s aide, Isreal DMW, also reacted to the statement on Instagram, describing Monday an “INEC AND SUPREME COURT GOVERNOR,” a clear jab at the legitimacy of Okpebholo’s mandate.
Destiny Etiko concluded by simply questioning the Governor’s authority with a brief but pointed response: “As who?”
Tunde Ednut, known for his political commentary online, further criticised Okpebholo’s tone, tagging it a threat.
