The 2nd Inter-House Sports Competition of Bosede Idehen International Academy/Springfield Private School was a resounding success, thrilling athletes, parents, and spectators on March 21, 2025. The event, which is now in its second edition, witnessed outstanding performances from students who showcased their athletic skills and competitive spirit.

Parents in attendance expressed their excitement and pride in seeing their children participate in various sporting activities. One parent, speaking to the press, described the event as “a wonderful experience,” emphasizing the joy of witnessing their children’s capabilities.

The Director of the school, Mrs. Idehen Ovabor, commended the success of the event while calling for more cooperation from parents. She reiterated her commitment to providing students with an international learning atmosphere that aligns with global standards.

“Our school follows both American and Nigerian curricula, ensuring that our students receive the best education possible. In the United States, children are encouraged to work and play, and we are replicating that here. Gentlemen of the press, kindly help us share this message with the world—our priority is the well-being of the children, and we are ready to give them the best,” she stated.

The competition featured four houses, each representing a U.S. state:

    • Yellow House (Texas)
    • Blue House (Massachusetts)
    • Purple House (California)
    • Lemon House (New York)

After a thrilling display of sportsmanship, Yellow House (Texas) emerged as the overall winner, clinching the first position. Purple House (California) secured second place, while Blue House (Massachusetts) also came in second position, following closely.

The event highlighted the school’s dedication to promoting physical education, teamwork, and the holistic development of its students. With the enthusiasm and participation witnessed this year, expectations are high for an even bigger and better edition in the future.
