As part of activities marking the 50th Anniversary of Bosede Idehen International Academy/Springfield Private School, the institution has extended a heartfelt gesture to the Abule Egba community and its environs through a free medical outreach and eye screening, where residents also received free eyeglasses and health consultations.
The initiative was carried out in honor of the school’s founder, Late Mrs. Bosede Idehen, an iconic educationist whose legacy continues to touch lives within and beyond Nigeria. Speaking during the outreach, the Director of the school, Mrs. Maureen Idehen Ovabor (Rph), reaffirmed her commitment to sustaining and expanding the impactful legacy of her late mother.
“This celebration is not just about marking 50 years of excellence; it’s also a remembrance of a great woman who was at the forefront of educational development in Lagos State. My mother touched many lives, and as the Director, I’m committed to continuing that legacy by giving back to the community that supported her vision,” said Mrs Maureen Idehen Ovabor Rph
In addition to the medical outreach, the school presented gift packages to elderly members of the community as part of its community service initiative. Beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude to the school for remembering them, offering prayers and goodwill for the institution’s continued success.
Speaking further with Titansloaded News, Mrs. Ovabor revealed that the 50th Anniversary marks a new chapter for the school, with renewed efforts to adopt global educational standards and further strengthen the quality of learning for students.
“At 50, we are repositioning Bosede Idehen International Academy/Springfield Private School to meet global standards. We run a dual curriculum — Nigerian and American — which provides our learners with an added advantage to compete globally. This is just the beginning; after our grand finale on Saturday, October 11, 2025, we will unveil more innovative programs to make a greater impact in the Alimosho area and beyond,” she added.
The event not only celebrated five decades of academic excellence but also highlighted the school’s unwavering dedication to community service, social responsibility, and educational transformation.
