Nigerian social media personality Bobrisky has reportedly been arrested at the Seme border while attempting to flee the country. Investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo broke the news, suggesting that the arrest is connected to an ongoing bribery investigation by the House of Representatives.
According to Olunloyo, Bobrisky was unaware that his passport had been deactivated by influential lawmakers and was counting on the support of a powerful “Godfather” to evade authorities. His alleged involvement in the “Naira saga,” a widespread bribery and corruption scandal, has also been suggested.
In a similar report, social media activist Martins Ortse claimed that Bobrisky was intercepted by officials from the Nigerian Immigration Service while trying to cross into the Benin Republic.
The news has generated significant reactions across social media platforms, with many expressing doubts about the authenticity of the claims and questioning Bobrisky’s intentions. So far, the Nigerian Immigration Service has not released an official statement to confirm or deny the arrest.
As the story continues to develop, the public is awaiting further clarification and statements from both Bobrisky and the relevant authorities regarding the circumstances of his reported arrest.
