2face Idibia’s married baby mama, Sunmbo Adeoye, has said that the rate at which fathers are abandoning their children must be addressed. The popular figure recently revealed that she made the observation days ago, while several Nigerians appreciated their mums on Mother’s Day.
Speaking via her Instagram page, Sunmbo revealed that as many people celebrated their mothers online on their special day, she noticed a lot of them referencing how their dad abandoned their mums to raise them alone.
According to her, it is very disheartening when men decide to avoid the responsibility of taking care of their own kids, and such men should stop underestimating the role a father’s presence plays in any child’s life.
Adeoye maintained that no matter the problem the men might be facing, their kids will always need them to stay, nurture and protect them.
Shen then appealed to Nigerian fathers to be intentional about building stronger families because the absence of a dad creates a void that no one else can truly fill.
“No matter the challenges, your children need you to stay, to lead, to nurture, and to protect,” she wrote.
