Popular singer and Nigerian activist Charly Boy has urged older citizens to never stop engaging in self-care. He recently had his say alongside a clip of himself getting groomed, and Nigerians have been reacting.
According to him, he underwent microblading to remove the grey hair on his head and face, and he feels very proud of himself because a clean face is not a crime.
Charly Boy stated that self-care is not a privilege to be enjoyed by Gen Z kids alone, stressing that it is meant for anyone who values himself or herself.
Emphasising the importance of self-care among youths and adults, the musician insisted that the same attention we give to our cars must be given to our faces.
“This grandpa eeeeeeeehn!
My people, I carry myself go do small microblading, removal of all gray hair yesooo, I say make I fine small.
Do u mind?
Clean face no be crime, abeg.
Na so I siddon, dem arrange my face, touch small here, fix small there, sharp sharp.

He further noted that the more we age, the more we should package ourselves, and while some people might call it vanity, it is self-respect.
He concluded by urging Nigerians not to mistake his white teeth and glowing face for filter henceforth.
“As we dey age, na so we suppose dey package ourselves.
No be vanity, na self-respect.
So if you see say my teeth white and my face dey shine, no talk say na filter, na maintenance.
This life no hard, if you wan dey happy, start from yourself.
