Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has revealed his reason for turning down a N30 million donation from Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris. The rejection of the Governor’s donation happened at a recent crusade in the state.
Speaking during a Sunday sermon at the Dunamis headquarters in Abuja, Pastor Enenche disclosed that the decision was not personal.
According to him, he decided based on a long-standing principle of avoiding government money or influence in his ministry, and he has no regrets.
The clergyman stated that while the stance might be shocking for some people, it is how his church has always acted.
“For some people, that may be a surprise because they don’t know who we are. But those who know us, that’s no surprise at all. That’s how we’ve lived, and that’s what we’ve stood for,” he said.

He further noted that he has consistently refused any form of government support for over 20 years, including financial offers and gifts.
Announcing that he once travelled to Jerusalem with then-President Goodluck Jonathan and state governors under the invitation of the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, the man of God declared that after the board offered him an honorarium upon return, he declined.
“The board chairman brought an offering and said this is their honorarium to me for going. I said no.
I don’t want to touch any dime of government money. Accepting such gifts can tie your hands. I want to be free to carry out my prophetic duty without fear or favour,” he added.
