Nollywood actress Laide Bakare and controversial singer Portable are still at loggerheads. Both celebrities recently threw jabs at each other online, and Nigerians have been reacting.
The back and forth started after Laide granted an interview with Legit.ng weeks ago, describing Portable as a “dirty boy from Sango.”
Reacting to the moviestar saying Nigerian women who migrated to Libya are call girls, Portable accused Laide of looking down on struggling women, tagging her remarks disrespectful.
Unfazed by the criticism, the actress fired back in a brief Instagram post that read, in Yoruba, “Portable, let your head be correct.”

Portable doubled down by responding with a provocative clip.
He expressed his desire to sleep with the actress, claiming he is very aware that she was no longer married.
Previously calling her “Aunty Laide,” he eventually dropped the respect, asking why he should continue respecting someone who disrespected him.
He further accused Bakare of inviting him to an event without paying, mocking her for calling herself a celebrity when she cannot cover basic costs.
He concluded by insisting that Laide isn’t wealthy, adding that her financial struggles is one of the reasons he’ll keep calling her out.
The saga has since sparked major reactions online. While some Nigerians see it as unnecessary drama, others believe it is nothing more than an ego clash.
