Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has shared her experience with a scammer during her recent birthday celebration. She recently revealed that a vendor ran away with her money after she paid him for several items she planned to use for a giveaway project.
Narrating the story via her social media page, Tonto said that she paid the vendor for 12 mobile phones to be used at her event, but the seller disappeared and blocked all communication with her after receiving the money.
This is not the first time Tonto has encountered a fraud on the internet. In a different post, the movie star narrated how she ordered hair extensions online but received 3 sponges instead.

According to her, she initially kept it quiet because the huge money involved made it embarrassing for her, but she eventually decided to come out with the experience so that her followers can learn from the story.
Dikeh then urged her fellow celebrities to do more to share their personal experiences with online scammers to prevent more people from falling prey.
Despite the painful financial losses, Tonto declared that she remains grateful, revealing that clocking 40 has brought her clarity and resilience.
Her message has since encouraged a lot of Nigerians to open up about similar fraudulent encounters, with several citizens naming and tagging the individuals “who ran them street.”
