The member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency of Abia State in the House of Representatives, Amobi Ogah, has reacted to his purported suspension from the Labour Party. He recently dismissed the decision to suspend him by the Julius Abure-led Labour Party faction, while insisting that his loyalty to Governor Alex Otti remains unwavering.
While speaking to the press in Abuja, Ogah revealed that his indefinite suspension by Abure’s faction can’t be taken seriously because it is merely a distraction sponsored by those who are threatened by the new face of leadership in Abia State.
According to him, the so-called suspension doesn’t affect his loyalty to Governor Otti in any way, and he remains steadfast with his legislative duties and resolute in his political conviction
“The suspension is a joke taken too far and a distraction sponsored by elements threatened by the new face of leadership in Abia State.
I want to make it clear; the so-called suspension means absolutely nothing to me.
I have the mandate of the people, and my commitment to Gov. Otti and his transformational agenda in Abia remains unshakable,” he said.
He then praised Governor Alex Otti for being the best thing that has happened to Abia State in decades, reiterating that nobody will be able to bully him out of his progressive ways.
“Gov. Alex Otti is the best thing that has happened to our state in decades. I am with him full time.
Nobody can bully us out of this progressive movement. No amount of intimidation can stop the will of the people,” he added.
