Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny has been officially named as the headliner for the NFL’s 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show in Santa Clara next February. Sources have said that the popular artist is trying to bring Drake to the Super Bowl stage after Kendrick Lamar’s recent diss performance.
According to an insider, despite Drake’s ongoing legal battle with Universal Music Group (UMG), Bunny is insisting on performing alongside him as a show of support for someone he considers his brother.
The source stated that Bad Bunny sees the gesture as necessary because the Canadian rapper helped him a lot before his music career blossomed.
“He doesn’t care about the beef or the controversies from last year with Kendrick Lamar; he wants to show support to his brother, as Drake helped him a lot in the first years of his career,” the insider said.

The source further described Bad Bunny as a loyal guy who likes to appreciate people who come through for him when he needs support.
Another source concluded by saying that even though he knows that Drake deserves his own halftime show as a headliner, Bunny still needs him on stage to perform some of their hit collaborations.
“He is a loyal guy who always wants to show gratitude to the people who have worked with him or helped him, and Drake is a very important person in his journey as an artist.
He knows that Drake would deserve a full halftime show for himself, to be the main artist for this kind of event, but Benito absolutely wants him on stage for some songs.
Bad Bunny hopes to use this opportunity to showcase his creativity and talent and make the show a tribute to the history of Latin music and Puerto Rico,” the insider added.
